Translation: The results of the Rahu or Ketu in the fourth house.

 

बहुभूषणसमृद्धिः जायाद्वयं सेवकः

मातृक्लेशः पापयुते निश्चयेन॥ ९॥

शुभयुतदृष्टे न दोषः॥ १०॥

 

bahubhūṣaṇasamṛddhiḥ jāyādvayaṁ sevakaḥ

mātṛkleśaḥ pāpayute niścayena || 9||

śubhayutadṛṣṭe na doṣaḥ || 10||

 

bahu much, many, abundance; bhūṣaṇa embellishment, ornament; samṛddhi great success or prosperity; jāyādvayaṁ two wives; sevaka servant, attendant, follower;

mātṛ mother; kleśa distress, pain from disease, anguish; pāpayute conjoined malefic; niścayena resolution, intention, conviction;

śubhayutadṛṣṭe conjunction or aspect of a benefic; na not; doṣa affliction.

 

Translation: If Rahu or Ketu are in the fourth house, the native will have many kinds of ornaments, will have two wives and will serve others. If Rahu or Ketu are conjoined a malefic planet, native’s mother will be in distress and this will not happen in case there is association with a benefic.

अश्वान्दोलाद्यवरोही॥ १७॥

लग्नेशेमन्दे मातृदीर्घयुः॥ १८॥

सौख्यवान्॥ १९॥

रन्ध्रेशयुक्ते मत्ररिष्टम्॥ २०॥

mātṛ a mother; hāni abandonment, deprivation, loss; dvimātṛvān having two mothers;

saukhyahāni lack of happiness; nirdhana without property, poor;

uccasvakṣetre exalted or in own sign; na no, it is not so; doṣa fault, vice, deficiency;

aśvān horses; dolā swing, hammock, palanquin; avarohī descending, possessing;

lagneśemande Saturn as lord of lagna (ascendant); mātṛdīrghayu mother will be long lived:

saukhyavān happy;

randhreśayukte conjoined 8th lord; matrariṣṭam loss of mother;

sukhahāni loss of happiness.

 

Translation: If Saturn is placed in the fourth house there will be loss of mother. After the death of mother native will get step mother. Native will be unhappy and poor.

If Saturn is exalted (Libra) or placed in own sign (Capricorn or Aquarius) evil results from above will not transpire, and native will own horses and prestigious conveyances like palanquins.

If Saturn is lord of the ascendant and placed in the fourth house, natives mother will be long lived and native will be happy.

If Saturn is conjoined 8th lord, native will experience loss of mother and happiness.

हस्तचापल्यवान् धैर्यवान् विशालाक्षः पितृमतृसौख्ययुतः॥ ३२॥

जानवान् सुखी॥ ३३॥

शोडशवर्षे द्रव्यापहाररूपेण अनेक वाहनवान्॥ ३४॥

भावाधिपे बलयुते आन्दोलिका प्राप्तिः॥ ३५॥

राहुकेतुशनियुते वाहनारिष्टवान्॥ ३६॥

क्षेत्रसुखवर्जितः बन्धुकुलद्वेषी कपटी॥ ३७॥

hasta the hand; cāpalyavān mobility, unsteadiness, agitation; dhairyavān calm, patient, composed; viśālākṣa large-eyed; pitṛmatṛsaukhyayuta happiness from father and mother;

jānavān birth, origin, birth place; sukhī one who loves pleasure;

śoḍaśavarṣe 16th year; dravya objects, wealth; apahāra stealing, taking away, spending another person’s property; rūpeṇa form, nature, character, image; aneka not one, much, many; vāhanavān vehicle, conveyance;

bhāvādhipe lord of the house; balayute strong, endowed with strength; āndolikā a swing-cot, palanquin; prāpti obtaining, reaching, arrival;

rāhuketuśaniyute conjoined Rahu, Ketu or Saturn; vāhana vehicle, conveyance; ariṣṭavān unhurt, uninjured;

kṣetra property, land, soil; sukha happy, prosperous; varjita excluded, abandoned, avoided; bandhu relative, relations, association; kula family, community; dveṣī hating, disliking, hostile, enemy; kapaṭī acting deceitfully, fraudulent, dishonest.

 

Translation: If Mercury is in the fourth house, the native will have very active hands, he will be patient, will have broad eyes and happiness from parents. He will be happy at his place of birth.

In his 16th year he will acquire wealth by dishonest means (possibly stealing) and will acquire many types of conveyances. If lord of the fourth house is strong person will have palanquin in his conveyances.

If Mercury is conjoined Rahu, Ketu or Saturn in the fourth house, person will experience vehicle related accident but will remain unhurt. He will have no land, will have hostile relation with his family and relations and will be deceitful.

उच्चे स्वक्षेत्रे शुभयुते मित्रक्षेत्रे वाहनवान् क्षेत्रवान्

मातृदीर्घयुः॥ ३०॥

नीचर्क्षे पापमृत्युयुते मातृनाशः॥ ३१॥

सौम्ययुते वाहन निष्ठावान्॥ ३२॥

बन्धुजनद्वेषी स्वदेशपरित्यागी वस्त्रहीनः॥ ३३॥

aṣṭame the eight; varṣe year; pitrā father; riṣṭaṁ hurt, injury, death; mātṛrogī diseases to mother, bad health;

saumyayute conjoined Mercury or other benefic; paragṛhavāsaḥ dwelling in another’s house;

niroga freedom from disease; śariri body; kṣetrahīnaḥ loss of land, property; dhanadhānyahīnaḥ loss of wealth and food; jīrṇa old, worn out; gṛhavāsaḥ living in one’s own home;

ucce exalted; svakṣetre own sign; śubhayute conjoined benefic; mitrakṣetre in a friendly sign; vāhanavān owning conveyances or vehicles; kṣetravān owning land, property; mātṛ mother; dīrghayuḥ long lived;

nīcarkṣe in sign of debilitation; pāpa malefic; mṛtyuyute conjoined 8th lord; mātṛnāśaḥ loss of mother;

saumyayute conjoined Mercury or benefic planet; vāhana vehicle; niṣṭhāvān being grounded, dependent on;

bandhujana relatives, kinsmen; dveṣī enemy, hostile; svadeśa own country; parityāgī leaving, neglecting; vastrahīna loss of clothes, garments.

 

Translation: If Mars is in the fourth house, person will experience many adversities in his household. The father may die in the 8th year of native’s life and the mother of the native will be sickly.

If Mars is conjoined Mercury, person will be living in other peoples home. Person will be healthy but will not have land (property) of his own, he will be poor and live in old houses.

If Mars is exalted (Capricorn) or in own sign (Aries or Scorpio), conjoined benefic or placed in a friendly sign, native will be owner of many vehicles, properties and his mother will be long lived.

If Mars is in the sign of debilitation (Cancer) and is associated with malefic or 8th lord, the native will suffer loss of his mother.

Person will have inimical relations with his relatives, he will live away from his own country and will lack proper clothes/garments.
