In today’s world, there is an abundance of advice and knowledge as to how to create better habits, how to stay accountable, how to live your best life, etc. There are scientists, philosophers and plenty of spiritual teachers addressing this exact topic… and then there is knowledge from Tradition!

For many years I practice one simple routine thought in our tradition that I wish to share with you. And that is as soon as you wake up, and before your feet touch the floor, do your gratitude mantra to the One that is carrying your burden from the day you came to this world, to the Mother Divine.

And in our Tradition, we say hare rāma kṛṣṇa followed by Samudra Vasane Devi mantra or daily prayer to recite  before getting out of bed

viṣṇupatni namastubhyaṁ pādasparśaṁ kṣamasvame||

Only then are we to rise up and get ready for our morning routine.

Lesson to be thought: “As long as you do the most important thing first thing in the morning… you can grow from there”

Meaning and pronunciation of the mantra
