Leeds International Vedic Astrology Conference: Fate & Fortune
It is always good news when announcing events and gatherings dedicated to the topic that we love, namely Jyotish. One such event has been planned for the month of October this year, in Leeds Theosophical Society.
The topic chosen is Bhagya: Fate & Fortune. The conference has an exciting panel of speakers, including Visti Larsen, Rajan Pitamber, Gordon Brennan, Vijaya Subramanian, and Paul Barker.
Most struggle to answer the simple question, is the Moon well placed in the 4th house or is Saturn badly placed in the 10th house, etc. Before rushing to find the answer in Jyotish literature, we should know that those answers are based on some basic Jyotish principles with which we can competently answer such questions.
In today’s world, there is an abundance of advice and knowledge as to how to create better habits, how to stay accountable, how to live your best life, etc. There are scientists, philosophers and plenty of spiritual teachers addressing this exact topic… and then there is knowledge from Tradition!
For many years I practice one simple routine thought in our tradition that I wish to share with you. And that is as soon as you wake up, and before your feet touch the floor, do your gratitude mantra to the One that is carrying your burden from the day you came to this world, to the Mother Divine.
