Translation: The results of the Jupiter in the ninth house.

 

धार्मिकः॥ ४४॥

तपस्वी साधुतारूढः धनिकः पंचत्रिंशद्यजकर्ता पित्रुदीर्घयुः

सत्कर्मसिद्धिः अनेकप्रतिष्ठावान् बहुजनपालकः॥ ४५॥

tapasvī sādhutārūḍhaḥ dhanikaḥ paṁcatriṁśadyajakartā pitrudīrghayuḥ

satkarmasiddhiḥ anekapratiṣṭhāvān bahujanapālakaḥ || 45||

 

dhārmika righteous, virtuous, pious;

tapasvī practicing austerities, devoted; sādhutā rightness, honesty, correctness; arūḍha having reached, attained, being known for; dhanika wealthy, rich; paṁcatriṁśad 35th; yajakartā act of worship or sacrifice; pitru father; dīrghayu long-lived;

satkarma a good work, virtuous act; siddhi accomplishment, success, fulfillment; aneka not one, many; pratiṣṭhāvān to depend on, prosper, be established; bahujana a great multitude of people; pālaka guarding, protecting, nourishing.

 

Translation: If Jupiter is in the ninth house the native will be righteous, he will practice austerities (will take interest in meditation), perform religious and charitable deeds and will be wealthy. In his 35th year he will perform religious ceremonies.

His father will be long-lived.

He will conduct virtuous acts and will receive many acknowledgements. He will give protection to many.

वेदशास्त्रविशारदः संगीत पाठकः दाक्षिण्यवान्

धार्मिकः प्रतापवान् बहुलाभवान् पितृ दीर्घयुः॥ ६५॥

तपोध्यानशीलवान्॥ ६६॥

vedaśāstraviśāradaḥ saṁgīta pāṭhakaḥ dākṣiṇyavān

dhārmikaḥ pratāpavān bahulābhavān pitṛ dīrghayuḥ || 65||

bahu much, many, abundant; prajā offspring, children, family, procreation; siddhi accomplishment, fulfillment;

vedaśāstra versed in Veda, knowing the Veda; viśāradaḥ conversant with, experienced, learned; saṁgīta chorus, the art of science of singing, sung together; pāṭhaka a scholar, a reciter, teacher; dākṣiṇyavān kindness, skill, amiable;

dhārmika righteous, pious, virtuous; pratāpavān having glory, dignity, or power; bahulābhavān many gains, wealthy; pitṛ father; dīrghayu long lived;

tapodhyāna meditation, austerity, śīlavān of a good disposition or character, moral.

 

Translation: If Mercury is in the ninth house, the native will have many children.

He will be learned in Vedas and Shastras, will be fond of music and singing, will be a teacher (or a scholar) and will be kind. He will also be righteous minded, full of glory, wealthy and his father will be long lived.

The native will be fond of meditation and austerities and will have good character.
