लग्नाच्चतुर्थे चन्द्रफलम्

lagnād Lagna or Ascendant, caturthe fourth, candraphalam fruits or results of the Moon

Translation: The results of the Moon in the fourth house.

 

 

राज्याभिशिक्तः अश्ववान् क्षीरसमृद्धिः धनधान्यसमृद्धिः

मतृरोगी॥ १९॥

परस्त्रीस्तनपानकारी॥ २०॥

मिष्ठान्नसम्पन्नः परस्त्रीलोलः सौख्यवान्॥ २१॥

पूर्णचन्द्रं स्वक्षेत्रे बलवान् मतृदीर्घयुः क्षीणचन्द्रे

पापयुते मातृनाशः॥ २२॥

वाहनहीनह् बलयुते वाहनसिद्धिः॥ २३॥

भावाधिपे स्वोच्चे अनेकाश्वादिवाहनसिद्धिः॥ २४॥

bhāvādhipe svocce anekāśvādivāhanasiddhiḥ || 24||

 

rājyābhiśikta inaugurated to kingdom, crowned; aśvavān having horses; kṣīra a milk, sap of several plants; samṛddhiḥ great prosperity, success, growth, increase; dhana wealth; dhānyasamṛddhiḥ prosperity thorough grain and corn; matṛrogī mothers disease or ill health;

parastrī the wife of another, unmarried woman; stanapāna drinking or sucking the breast; kārī action, act;

miṣṭhānna sweet of savory food; sampannaḥ accomplished, turned out well, perfect or correct flavor; parastrī the wife of another, unmarried woman; lola restless, changeable, desirable, greedy; saukhyavān comfortable, one who is happy;

pūrṇacandraṁ full Moon; svakṣetre in own sign; balavān mighty, strong, vigorous; matṛ mother; dīrghayu long life, longevity; kṣīṇacandre waning Moon; pāpayute conjoined malefic; mātṛ mother; nāśa loss, destruction, death;

vāhana driving, riding, vehicle; hīnah left, poor, little; balayute endowed with strength, powerful; vāhana driving, riding, vehicle; siddhiḥ accomplishment, fulfillment;

bhāvādhipe lord or ruler of the house; svocce exalted; anekāśvādi dwelling or abiding in more than one; vāhana vehicle; siddhiḥ accomplishment, fulfillment.

 

Translation: If the Moon is in the fourth house, person will be crowned as a king (he will get very high status by the Government), he will own many horses (nowadays can indicate many conveyances), he will enjoy increase of agricultural and financial wealth but his mother will be sickly. The native will be brought up on breast milk of woman other than his mother.

He will enjoy plenty of good food and will be happy but he will be desirable of other people’s wives (woman other than his wife).

If the Moon is strong by being full or in its own sign (Cancer) natives mother will be long lived. She will be short lived if the Moon is weak (waning) or conjoined malefic planet.

The weak Moon will also deprive him of the comfort of conveyances whilst strong Moon will give him lots of these comforts. If the lord of the fourth house is exalted, the native will be enjoying (and owning) the comfort of many kinds of conveyances.

bhRigu sūtram – The Moon in the Third House

Translation: The results of the Moon in the third house.

 

 

भगिनीसामान्यः वातशरीरी अन्नहीनः अल्पभाग्यः॥ १५॥

चतुर्विंशतिवर्षे भाविरुपेन राजदंडेन द्रव्यच्छेदः॥ १६॥

गोमहिष्यादिहीनः॥ १७॥

पिशुनः मेधावी सहोदर वृद्धि॥ १८॥

 

bhaginīsāmānyaḥ vātaśarīrī annahīnaḥ alpabhāgyaḥ || 15||

caturviṁśativarṣe bhāvirupena rājadaṁḍena dravyacchedaḥ || 16||

gomahiṣyādihīnaḥ || 17||

piśunaḥ medhāvī sahodara vṛddhi || 18||

 

bhaginī a sister; sāmānya equal, common, similar; vātaśarīrī rheumatism, gout, wind in the body; annahīnaḥ lack of food, alpabhāgyaḥ having little fortune, unfortunate;

caturviṁśati 24th; varṣe year; bhāvi being, becoming; rupena form, shape; rājadaṁḍena punishment inflicted by kings; dravyacchedaḥ loss of wealth;

gomahiṣyādi cattle and buffalos; hīnaḥ loss, weak;

piśuna backbiter, slanderous, informer; medhāvī learned, teacher; sahodara born of the same womb; vṛddhi growth, increase.

 

Translation: If the Moon is in the third house the person will have average number of sisters. He will suffer from rheumatism (vatta or wind related diseases), he will lack food and he will be unfortunate.

In his 24th year he will get punishment from Government due to which he will suffer loss of wealth. He will lose his cattle wealth.

He will be a backbiter but will be intelligent (having capacity for learning) and will have good number of siblings.

पापयुतेविद्याहीनः॥ ११॥

शुभयुते बहुविद्याधनवान्॥ १२॥

एकेनैवपूर्णचन्द्रेण सम्पूर्णधनवान्॥ १३॥

अनेक विद्यावान्॥ १४॥

śobhanavān brilliant, beautiful; bahu much, many; pratāpī growing heat, glow, splendor; dhanavāna wealthy, rich; alpa small, little; santoṣi contentment, satisfaction;

aṣṭādaśa 18th; varṣe year; rājadvareṇa the kings gate, gate of a royal palace; senādhipat the chief of an army, yogaḥ joining, attaching, acting;

pāpayute conjoined malefic; vidyā learning, scholarship, knowledge; hīnaḥ left, forsaken;

śubhayute conjoined benefic; bahu many, much, abundance; vidyā knowledge, learning; dhanavān wealthy, rich;

ekenaiva only one; pūrṇacandreṇa full Moon; sampūrṇa completely filled or full, full of; dhanavān wealthy, rich;

aneka not one, many, much; vidyāvān knowledgeable, educated.

 

Translation: If the Moon is in the second house person will be beautiful, will be glowing, wealthy and easily satisfied. In his 18th year he will be guarding king’s gate as an chief of army.

If the Moon is conjoined malefic planet, he will uneducated. If on the other hand, Moon here is conjoined benefic planet, person will be highly educated and wealthy.

If only full Moon is in the second house, the native will be very wealthy and highly educated.

The Sun in the Twelfth House

ṣaṭtriṁśad 36th; varṣe year; gulma a chronic enlargement of the spleen, enlargement in abdomen; rogī disease;

apātra underserving, worthless; vyayakārī one who makes payments; patitaḥ fallen, wicked, degraded; dhanahāniḥ poverty;

gohatyā killing the cow, slaying the cow; doṣakṛt causing evil or harm; paradeśa living abroad, foreign country; vāsī abiding, dwelling;

bhāvādhipe lord of the house; balayute endowed with strength, powerful; or; devata deity, divinity; siddhi accomplishment, fulfillment;

śayyākhaṭ bed, sexual intercourse; va or; aṁgādisaukhyam bodily happiness;

pāpayute conjoined malefic; apātra worthless, undeserving; vyayakārī one who spends; sukhaśyyā pleasant rest or sleep; hīna loss, deficient;

ṣaṣṭheśe sixth lord; yute conjoined; kuṣṭharoga leprosy; yuta connected with, attached; śubha auspicious, benefic; dṛṣṭayute aspect and conjunction; nivṛtti escaping from, ceasing, leaving;

pāpī wicked, sinful; roga disease, sickness; vṛddhimān growing, increasing.

 

Translation: If the Sun is in the twelfth house, the native will suffer from appendicitis in the 36th year of his life. He will waste his money on undesirable purposes, he will be sinful and will incur loss of wealth. He will be accused of killing the cow and will live far from his homeland (will live abroad).

If the Sun is associated with strong lord of the house the native will enjoy blessings of God. He will also enjoy bed comforts (sexual pleasures).

If the Sun is conjoined a malefic the native will waste money and will be deprived of bed comforts. If the Sun is conjoined lord of the sixth house native will suffer from leprosy but he will recover from this disease if a benefic aspects or is conjoined the Sun. The presence of the Sun in the twelfth house will make one sinful and there will be aggravation of the diseases he is suffering from.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Sun in the Fifth house

medhāvī learned man, teacher, great learning capasity; alputra few children; uddhimān intelligent, learned, wise;

bhāvādhipe bhava lord, ruller; balayute endowed with strenght, powerful; putra son, child; siddhi accomplished, fullfiled, gained;

rāhu Rahu; ketu Ketu; yute conjoined; sarpa a snake, serpent, creeping; śāpāt a curse, malediction, abuse; suta son, child, offspring; kṣayaḥ loss, waist, destruction, decay;

kuja Mars; yute conjoined; śatru an enemy, foe, rival; yute conjoined; mūlāt root, foundation, basis, cause, origin;

śubha benefic, auspicious; dṛṣṭayute aspect and/or conjuction; na no, it is not so; doṣa foult, vice, defficiancy;

sūrya the Sun, Surya; śara 5th; bha sign, nakshatra, house; bhakta loved, devoted to, worshiped, liked, served;

balayute endowed with strenght, powerful; putra son, a child; samṛddhi great prosperity or succes; growth, increase.

 

Translation: If the Sun is in the fifith house, the native will be poor, of bulky body and in his sevent year, his father will face and overcome hurt, serious illnes or misfortune. The native will be learned and intelligent but will have few children. If the lord of the fifth house endowed with strength, person will have fullfilment through children.

If the Sun is associated with Rahu or Ketu, person can loose children due to the curse of Serapant God. If the Sun is in conjuction with Mars there will be loss of children due to enemy. If the above mentioned is under the aspect or in conjunction with a benefics, there will be no such loss of children.

When the Sun is in the fifth house, the person will become a devotee of the Sun God. If the Sun is strong the children will be prosperous.
